How can a woman correct a difficult situation at work?
How often at work, where we spend most of our time, difficult situations arise, sometimes such that a lump rises in the throat, I want to burst into tears and scream, I want to almost quit my job and not see these people.
How often at work, where we spend most of our time, difficult situations arise, sometimes such that a lump rises in the throat, I want to burst into tears and scream, I want to almost quit my job and not see these people. Sometimes it’s not even the bosses that spoil our blood, in most cases it’s our work colleagues, our friends.
So, this situation is not exceptional, and if it has arisen, try to get out of it correctly and with dignity.
First, as cliche as it sounds, calm down. Try to get out of the room, change the environment, take a deep breath and, if possible, do some squats or other exercises.
Have you calmed down?
And now just think about what happened. It is very good to use this technique to analyze what happened, imagine that you are not a participant, but watch from the side, let's say, like a movie on TV.
It is quite possible that the situation will become more banal and not so tragic. After all, how many times over time we, remembering some events, are surprised ourselves at what an inadequate reaction this caused in us.
So maybe nothing terrible happened, the main thing in any conflict is to calm down and take a meaningful look at the event.
A written formulation of the problem helps to achieve excellent results. Sit down and try to convey everything on paper, what happened, what caused the conflict, what it gave you and other participants, how it helped, and it is especially important to concentrate on yourself.
What is your mistake, what did you do wrong, just answer honestly to yourself, because you are not only an innocent victim. And an honest answer is very important in order to move on and make the right decision to resolve this situation, it is quite possible that you are to blame, and it is enough to explain and apologize for everything to fall into place. After all, friendly relations are so necessary at work, and squabbles and misunderstandings can damage not only work, but also directly to you and your health, so think about it - is it worth it!
What's Your Reaction?
