Study, study and ... earn
What does it take to become a copywriter? Talent, perseverance, out-of-the-box thinking? Yes. This is true. But what to do so that the work of a copywriter brings not only pleasure, but also good money?
What does it take to become a copywriter? Talent, perseverance, out-of-the-box thinking? Yes. This is true. But what to do so that the work of a copywriter brings not only pleasure, but also good money?
How to study
Option 1. Torture the customer
Some beginners who decide to try themselves in the field of copywriting do not bother with the study of some rules and nuances. Of course, if you have a good style, you write correctly, then the customer will cling to you and will independently guide you on the right path. But I will make a reservation right away, he will pay you some minimum. For example, 7-20 rubles per thousand characters. Not thick, right? But you will go through just a chic school, so to speak, field practice.
Option 2. Explore yourself
It involves an independent search and study of materials. Subscribe to blogs of leading copywriters, information portals. By the way, you can subscribe to mine HERE. A good option would be to search for closed exchanges, or copywriting agencies. They are interested in the quality of the texts of their employees, so they provide a lot of materials for their training and development.
Option 3. Trainings and courses
This method is for the most advanced. For those who want to get a quick result in copywriting, bypassing a bunch of unnecessary and costly steps. For example, I recently had such a training (or rather, it is at the final stage, and soon I will share the results with you). Yes, and the incentive to earn money in this case is good. Do you need to get your money back?
How to earn
I admit, making money on copywriting is easier than learning it. During the classes, you are loaded with some information, you carefully write it down, remember it, and then you don’t know how to apply it all ... Did you also have this?
There is an exit. Attend only practical webinars and take practical courses. Spit on theory. It is nothing compared to what you actually have to go through in the course of fulfilling orders. For example, in my training, I provide students with paid assignments. After completion, we gradually analyze all the errors, bring the article to the ideal. And then students get paid for their work (it's nice, isn't it?).
My experience
How was it for me? I started learning on cheap orders. Then, literally a month later, I made my way to a closed copywriting exchange with powerful training and, well, very demanding moderators (it was the same school, with "psychos", frustration and even tears, but I passed it). At the same time, she entered into an agreement to write texts for a local web studio. And on an ongoing basis (is it worth saying that I immediately refused cheap orders?).
A couple of months later it dawned on me that you can also look for information on the net. Subscribed to a million blogs of various copywriters. But she gave up on them very soon. I left only 2 subscriptions, I just didn’t like the way of writing, communication and presentation of material from others (not on my wave, or something).
I have achieved a lot in 4 years. For example, I don’t go to work, I don’t go to the office (sometimes, and only for money), I sit at home and do what I love…
