Medium and large businesses began to cooperate more actively with the self-employed
The self-employed began to actively integrate into the business processes of medium and large entrepreneurs. For the self-employed themselves, this is an opportunity to receive higher and more stable incomes, and for businesses, it is an opportunity to attract good specialists on more favorable terms.
According to a study by the Locomotives of Growth Center for Studying and Monitoring the Effectiveness of Socio-Economic Support Measures for Industry and Entrepreneurship at the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, representatives of large businesses today most often use the results of the work of the self-employed in the field of research, development, training and education. And medium-sized businesses are primarily interested in the opportunity to use the services of certified specialists, as well as to obtain affordable components and raw materials for their production.
According to Lyudmila Ivanova-Shvets, Associate Professor of the Human Resource Management Base Department of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, business is increasingly involved in cooperation with the self-employed, as it sees certain advantages for itself. “Such interaction is much easier to formalize: there is no need to spend time preparing, executing, discussing the contract, as with other legal entities, this is not necessary for the self-employed. Businesses do not need to register an employee, keep accounts and pay taxes for him. it is beneficial to cooperate with businesses, since the volume of orders is greater than with individuals. True, the tax when interacting with businesses is 6%, and with individuals - 4%. But the percentage is quite insignificant, and the volume of orders provides more benefits and the possibility of long-term cooperation, " - says the expert.
According to the calculations of the Financial University, based on the statistics of the Federal Tax Service, today there are already more than 4.5 million self-employed people in Russia, about 1 million in Moscow alone
In the face of fluctuating demand and tough anti-Russian sanctions, business is forced to look for more flexible forms of cooperation. Rather than hiring new full-time staff, in certain cases it is more profitable to attract the self-employed. After all, they do not need to provide the same jobs, social package and pay social taxes for them, adds Denis Zhiltsov, Associate Professor of the Department of Logistics and Marketing of the Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation. “In addition, merchants receive goods and services from the self-employed, as a rule, of a higher quality than from their own full-time staff, who often experience motivational difficulties,” Zhiltsov is sure.
“Any formalized organization has inertia. And the larger such an organization, the greater this inertia,” adds Dmitry Zhuravlev, scientific director of the Institute of Regional Problems. it takes time. The self-employed coordinate their actions only with themselves, so they are as dynamic as possible and increase the dynamism of the entire project in which they participate."
